Mean Girl

After winning several awards in the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in South Carolina, Fox makes her film debut in the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen flick Holiday in the Sun. The straight-to-DVD release pegs Ashley's character against Fox's for the affections of a local boy. Though Fox works mostly with Ashley on the film, she says, "Mary-Kate's more my speed–she's into rock."

Teen Queen

Fox lands her first major movie role opposite Lindsay Lohan in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. As queen bee of the drama club Carla Santini, Fox battles Lohan to maintain her rule. On set, "Lindsay and I weren’t the best of friends," Fox tells FHM. "Because I looked older than her, she’d be nice to my face so I would buy her cigarettes."

Sitcom Star

Fox joins ABC's Hope & Faith as the 16-year old niece of show star Kelly Ripa. While on the sitcom, Fox appears in a provocative shoot for FHM and brazenly discusses her sex life: "I have the libido of a 15-year-old boy." After three seasons, Hope & Faith is canceled in 2006.

90210 Love

Fox and former Beverly Hills, 90210 heartthrob Brian Austin Green, who is 13 years her senior, meet on the set of Hope & Faith. "We've lived together for three years," Green, who proposes to Fox in 2006, tells TV Guide in 2008. "We have tattoos of each other's names." In February 2009, they call off their engagement, but remain close.

Megan Meets Megatron

Fox shoots to fame with her scantily-clad role in Transformers, wth Shia LaBeouf and Josh Duhamel. The film grosses $700 million worldwide, and spawns the sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. "If I get stuck doing comic-book films for the rest of my life, I’ll be really happy," Fox tells GQ. "I love those types of movies. And I don’t mind being sexy–if it’s a character with a backstory and an arc and something progresses."

Fox Covers GQ

After being crowned FHM's Sexiest Woman in the World, Fox sets tongues wagging (including her own!) with her GQ cover. The starlet, who reveals that she had a lesbian relationship with a stripper, also passionately defends Disney star Vanessa Hudgens, who endured a nude photo scandal in 2007. "You shouldn’t have to apologize," says Fox. "Someone betrayed Vanessa, but no one’s angry at that person. She had to apologize. I hate Disney for making her do that. F--k Disney."

Summer's Surefire Hit

After trotting around the world promoting Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the blockbuster sequel earns an astounding $60.6 million in its opening day, and goes on to bank over $200 million in its first five days. "It's a badass popcorn summer movie," Fox tells EW – before leaving the franchise in 2010.

Megan's Blood Work

Fox takes the title role in Jennifer's Body, a girl-gore flick (and sure-to-be cult classic) written by Juno scribe Diablo Cody. Although Fox calls it the "best script I've ever read," not even her kiss with costar Amanda Seyfried can save the film from tanking at the box office.

Engaged…and Married!

After calling off their first engagement, Fox and longtime beau Brian Austin Green, 36, get engaged a second time and make it official while vacationing on the big island of Hawaii in June. "Yes they are married," a rep for the 24-year-old actress confirms to PEOPLE.
